Title I Information
Title I is a component of the federal Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). Title I provides supplemental funding to qualifying schools based on the percentage of students in the school from low-income homes.
The overarching goals of the CCSD21 Title I Programs are to increase student achievement and strengthen the home-school partnership. In designing activities we seek to increase the long-term capacity of the schools to meet student needs and to maintain continuity of core instruction for students. While focusing efforts on improving academic progress for students not meeting standards, schoolwide programs aim to benefit all students in the Title I schools.
