CCSD21 fills Board of Education vacancy

Community Consolidated School District 21 Board of Education members appointed Jennifer Tani to the Board on June 15, 2017. Tani, a Buffalo Grove resident, is passionate about education and providing opportunities to students and families.

Most recently, Tani has advocated for first-generation college students through her position with Roosevelt University. She has also held professional positions with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois and United Way of Metropolitan Chicago. Tani is actively involved with the Asian Giving Circle, an initiative of The Chicago Community Trust, and Northwest Suburban Alliance on Domestic Violence, among numerous other community organizations.

Tani, a mother of two, holds degrees from Carleton College and DePaul University. Her appointment fills the vacancy created by Jeff Battinus’ resignation. The term will run through April 2019.
