According to the Cook County Clerk, unofficial election results indicate that the CCSD21 referendum initiative passed with 73% of the vote.

Many thanks to voters for considering this ballot measure and the impact it will have on our students. The District looks forward to embarking on the work ahead.

CCSD21 sought voter approval for a $69 million bond issue to fund critical facility improvements throughout the district. Projects include securing all schools through reconstructed visitor entrances and the improvement of security cameras and lighting, improving the school environment with the installation of districtwide air conditioning, preparing physical spaces for full-day kindergarten programming, and completing large-scale maintenance projects to ensure future-ready schools.

We appreciate the community’s participation in the Design21 process to identify our shared priorities, the informational stage in learning about the referendum, and participating in the electoral process.
