Family notification: Return to school plan adopted

September 25, 2020

Topic: Updates

The following message was sent to all CCSD21 families through ParentSquare, the district’s notification tool. Parents that did not receive this message should contact their school’s main office to ensure their contact information is up to date.

Dear CCSD21 families,

Last night, the CCSD21 Board of Education adopted the Revised Return to In-Person Schooling Plan. The Plan allows students to return to in-person learning as early as October 5, 2020.

This plan was adopted with the best information known at this time. Adjustments may be made, to include reverting back to periods of distance learning, in accordance with direction and guidance from federal, state, and local health and education officials.

If a student is currently enrolled in the Distance Learning Academy, their status of enrollment within the Academy is not impacted by the Board’s action and they will continue to learn from home. The full-time Distance Learning Academy will continue for the duration of the 2020-2021 school year.

Families with “in-person” students will receive information in the coming days, from both the District and their school. Please continue to regularly check your email for these important updates.
