Free breakfast and lunch through December 2020

Effective Thursday, September 3, breakfast and lunch meals for all children age 18 and younger will be free, regardless of the school they attend or the family’s ability to pay. This change is as a result of revised guidelines from the U.S. Department of Agriculture and runs through December 2020. The student does not need to be present to pick up a meal/meals, and an ID number does not need to be provided.

Free breakfast and lunch meals are available every day school is in session, from 11 AM – 1 PM:

  • Curbside pick-up at all CCSD21 schools
  • School bus mobile sites
    • Northeast corner of Ridge Ave. & Dundee Rd. (across Ridge Ave. from Portillo’s and Kohl’s), Arlington Heights
    • Walmart parking lot (1455 E. Lake Cook Rd., Wheeling) – far corner near old Sam’s Club building
    • Whippletree Playground by the park, Wheeling
    • Willow Trails Park at Burning Bush Ln. and Apple Dr., Prospect Heights
    • Childerley Park – 506 McHenry Rd., Wheeling – beginning Tuesday, September 8
    • Meadowbrook Park – 427 Nancy Ln., Wheeling – beginning Tuesday, September 8
    • Windsor Ridge Park – 780 Vernon Ln., Buffalo Grove – beginning Tuesday, September 8
  • Supervision sites for students participating in the program
