On Friday morning, January 10, 2020, CCSD21 was informed that Holmes Middle School teacher Scott Pollack was arrested as part of an Illinois Attorney General Office investigation into the possession of child pornography. Mr. Pollack has been criminally charged in the matter. The Illinois Attorney General’s Office has informed us that current criminal charges are not a result of any activity or involvement with CCSD21 students.

Mr. Pollack has been suspended from duty indefinitely. CCSD21 and Holmes Middle School are cooperating with the Wheeling Police Department, Illinois Attorney General’s office, and other local law enforcement agencies.

The safety and well being of our students is our top priority and we will continue to work with law enforcement and our community partners to ensure a safe learning environment for all. Counseling and student support teams will be available to any student who may need it.

If any member of the community has additional information to report on this matter, they are asked to contact the Wheeling Police Department at 847-459-2632.

Please do not hesitate to contact [email protected] with any questions.

We will continue to keep parents informed as we receive additional information.
