flp_imageThe purpose of the Family Learning Program is to provide affordable and accessible learning opportunities for second language families (adults and children) and empower them to become active participants in all aspects of the school community.

 

Because of the impact of COVID-19, Family Learning Program activities are currently on pause. We look forward to resuming our programming when it is safe to do so!

 

What is the Family Learning Program?

Family Learning Program offers flexible opportunities for families to learn and grow, together, and engage within the community.

What opportunities has Family Learning Program offered?

  • Classes for adults: Computers, English/Spanish, Healthy Cooking, Parenting Skills, Art, Zumba, Yoga, Book Studies
  • Classes for students: Art, Team sports, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)
  • Childcare: Safe, structured childcare for the children of adults attending classes at Harper College
  • CHiL: Academic support and mentorship for middle school students
  • Extracurricular soccer
  • And much more!

El Programa de Aprendizaje de la Familia ofrece oportunidades flexibles para que las familias aprendan y crezcan, juntas, y se involucren en la comunidad.

  • Clases para adultos: Computadores, Inglés / Español, Cocina Saludable, Apoyo para Padres, Arte, Zumba, Yoga, Charlas de Libros
  • Clases para estudiantes: arte, deportes de equipo, STEM (ciencia, tecnología, ingeniería y matemáticas)
  • Cuidado de niños: cuidado de niños seguro y estructurado para los hijos de adultos que asisten a clases en Harper College
