Q&A
What is one thing about you that few people know?
“Last year I was contemplating crypto currency mining and after doing a lot of research, I built my own desktop computer. I decided not to pursue mining, but now I have what is equivalent to a top notch gaming computer that will hopefully last me many years to come. As a bonus, my son loves looking at the cool lights from the liquid CPU cooler.”
What skills do you bring to the table?
“I’m a good listener and enjoy getting feedback and information from all sides. I believe the best decisions are made when there is open communication. I also have experience in strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and data analytics.”
Why did you decide to run for the Board?
“I applied to fill a vacancy on the board in 2025. I believe education is the key to success. I also believe that quality education should be available for all. Given the uncertainty with Federal and State funding availability in the future, as well as the state of the economy, I wanted to ensure that the district’s high quality education continued without an increased burden on the taxpayers. I believed my background in marketing, finance, and data analytics would be of value to the board.”
What is your proudest Board achievement(s) so far?
“Since my term is just beginning, I’m looking forward to learning more about each of the schools and continuing to build relationships with the administration, staff, and broader community.”
What value does the Board bring to the students, the District, & the community?
“The diversity of the board with our many different backgrounds and experiences helps to better represent the students and community and ultimately come to the best decisions for the students, district, and community. The board also sets goals, policies, and budgets for the district. Lastly the board is a way for the community to have a say in the quality of education as well as the funding taxpayers are willing to spend.”
What are your goals while serving on the Board?
“To ensure that all students and staff have a safe environment for learning and that we provide all of our students and staff with the resources they need in order to be lifelong learners and to be successful.”
