Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Requests
The Illinois Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) is designed to ensure that any person has access to public records. FOIA requests should be submitted in writing to:

The FOIA Officer will respond to the request within five (5) business days after receipt of the request.
A commercial request is when the requestor seeks to use part or all of the public records for sale, resale, or solicitation or advertisement for sales or services. The FOIA Officer will respond to a request for information that is made for a commercial purpose within twenty-one (21) business days after receipt of the request.
Fees
In keeping with the fees allowed by the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140/6(b), the fees charged for CCSD21 records are calculated as follows:
First 50 pages of black and white, letter or legal sized copies
Additional black and white pages after the first 50 pages
Color copies
Copies on paper sizes other than letter or legal size
Recording medium
Certification of records
