Community Consolidated School District 21 will host preview nights for new kindergarten students entering the 2024-2025 school year. Starting Thursday, May 2, families are invited to local elementary schools at 5 p.m. at the following locations across the district to meet the principal, tour the school, learn about the daily schedule, gain ideas on how to prepare for the upcoming school year and receive assistance with registration. Attendees will also receive a gift for their student(s).
The district previously announced it would continue to provide all enrolled students with school supplies required for the 2024-25 academic year, and waive registration fees for each student. This marks the fifth consecutive year the district has made this decision.
Children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2024, are eligible to attend full-day kindergarten in the fall of 2024. For more details on registration for new kindergarten students, including materials parents need to provide in order to enroll, visit ccsd21.org/registration.
